Windows 8 the upcoming Microsoft operating system belonging to Developer Preview Build was recently release to public for free, you can download it’s ISO from our previous post here. This article will assist those who wishes to createWindows 8 bootable USB from the downloaded ISO file.
The trick is simple, you can either use free software ISO to USB or official Microsoft’s Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create the bootable USB with download links at bottom page.
Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool was previously used to create bootable USB for Windows 7 but still works well on Windows 8. Here’s how to create the bootable USB:
- Step 1 – Download, install and run the software.
- Step 2 – Click on Browse to select your chosen ISO file and hit Next. (Make sure your USB flash drive capacity is larger than the ISO file size)
- Step 3 – Select either copy to DVD or USB. In this case we are selecting the USB option.
- Step 4 – Insert your USB flash drive and the tool will locate it, next click on Begin copying
- Step 5 – It will now create bootable USB flash drive for Windows 8.
ISO to USB is a freeware you can use if you do not wish to utilize Microsoft’s Windows 7 USB download tool to create bootable USB. Here’s how:
- Step 1 – Download, install and run the software.
- Step 2 – Click on Browse to select your chosen ISO file. (USB flash drive capacity must be larger than ISO file size)
- Step 3 – Select NTFS on File System option and name label to anything you wish.
- Step 4 – Click on Burn and wait for it to self complete.
